AlgoBharat Road to Impact 2025
Reimagining Impact.
In 2023, AlgoBharat laid the foundation for a Web3 movement to promote the use of blockchain to address real world challenges at scale – in India for India. Across campuses, companies, and communities, we saw developers, founders, and dreamers from across the country come together to build on Algorand. The mission was clear: turn ideas into open-source innovation that has real word utility.
In 2025, we’re thrilled to roll out another edition of the AlgoBharat Road to Impact — a bigger, better, bolder version of what we kicked off three years ago.
Through a series of city-stops and virtual meetups, Road to Impact 2025 will draw thousands of developers from the growing AlgoBharat community to build on the most secure, scalable and sustainable blockchain protocol in the world. Whether you’re a student developer from one of our eighty Algorand Blockchain Clubs in India, a Web2 developer finding your way into the Web3 world, a seasoned Algodev eager to show off your coding chops, or a startup founder hungry to take your solution to market, this journey is for you.
We’ll support our builders over the coming months with a robust ecosystem that offers developer support, office hours, and mentorship every step of the way. You’ll have access to various experts and other resources throughout the months, with the journey culminating in the final rounds of pitches at the third annual Algorand India Summit, scheduled to take place in Bengaluru at the beautiful ITC Gardenia on December 6–7—a gathering to showcase and celebrate some of the world’s most innovative Web3 solutions and the people behind them.
The 2025 AlgoBharat Road to Impact will have two tracks:
1) AlgoBharat Hack Series #2
We’re excited to announce our second Hack Series of 2025, this time with a spotlight on open-source infrastructure for Algorand. Whether you’re refining existing tools or inventing something entirely new, this is your chance to code, collaborate, and create impact.
What are we looking for?
Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Technological Innovation – How novel and impactful is the solution?
- Scalability – Can it handle real-world adoption across multiple applications?
- Reusability – Does it provide building blocks for future developers and products built on Algorand?
Focus Areas (But Not Limits!)
We welcome all bold ideas that have a blockchain component. But we do have some areas of innovation we’d look to highlight if you’re looking for guidance:
- Staking Pools & Reward Models – design novel tokenomics and incentives
- DAO Tooling – build governance for decentralized communities
- Plug & Play Marketplaces – create seamless trading and commerce platforms
- Peer-to-Peer Gaming – architect on-chain gaming experiences
But again, if you’re passionate about another area that you think needs more innovation in the Algorand ecosystem, bring it on!
Build on (or Beyond!) Existing Work
Want to collaborate? Explore the open-source repos of our ALGOGitSquad or others from our dev community who’ve provided building blocks for:
- Consent Manager
- AI + Blockchain Integrations
- NFT Marketplace
- And more!
Fork, remix, or start fresh—just keep it open, scalable, and impactful.
2) AlgoBharat Pitch Competition – For the Next Wave of Builders
The AlgoBharat Pitch Competition, which runs in parallel to the Hack Series, kicks off with an Ideation process, various sessions designed to help early-stage companies and founder-led dev teams looking to advance their blockchain-based solutions to real-world problems.
Whether you’re innovating in agri-tech, DeFi, healthcare, supply chain, or for some other business opportunity, the Ideathon will give you the platform to evaluate the problem with a web3 lens and to think through a technical workflow; you’ll learn from experts, and eventually have the chance to attract investment and integration support through the Algorand Startup Lab program.
With every block and every build, together we move closer to a more inclusive and decentralized digital future. Join us on the Road to Impact.
What is Web3 Ideation?
A focused 2-hour workshop designed to help startups and entrepreneurs validate whether their business idea should be built on blockchain technology, specifically on the Algorand platform. Whether you’re a Web2 company looking to scale with blockchain or a Web3 startup seeking clarity, our ideation sessions will provide the framework and insights you need to make informed decisions.
Each session is a 2-hour interactive workshop with hands-on exercises, complete with materials provided—and includes direct access to apply to the Pitch Competition program.
Who should attend?
Founders, product managers, CTOs, and early-stage teams from both Web2 and Web3 exploring blockchain-based solutions.
With every block and every build, together we move closer to a more inclusive and decentralized digital future. Join us on the Road to Impact.
